Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Surgeon, and BOTOX Specialist

Dr. Murphy was born and raised in Houston, TX.  After graduating from Clear Lake High School, she attended The University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and then completed her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston

With a deep appreciation for the gift of vision, she decided to pursue an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  Throughout this training, she learned that a good relationship with her patients is fundamental to providing high quality health care.  Dr. Murphy firmly believes taking time to educate patients on their eye conditions and to discuss prevention and management is essential to providing patients with a great experience.

She is available for routine eye exams and for the evaluation of many general eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal diseases. Her surgical interests include cataract surgery, pterygium excision, and basic plastic procedures.

Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.  Her hobbies are centered around her love for the outdoors and exercise which includes:  hiking, biking, kayaking, and kickboxing.
